New Construction in Valley Village
A new Valley Village house with a home office built for full workdays: wired data, dedicated outlets, its own comfort zone and light that suits a screen.
Calls, screens and paperwork can fill a whole day in the home office of a new Valley Village house, so we design that room to handle them. It needs a wired connection that does not drop, outlets where the desk will stand, comfort with the door closed and daylight that stays off the monitor. We plan it with your designer while it is still lines on paper. LADBS reviews the permit set for the house.
Power, data and a steady connection
Wireless signals weaken through walls, so we run a data cable from a central closet to the desk wall, plus a ceiling point for an access point in the hall. The desk wall gets several outlets on a dedicated circuit at desk height, with a USB outlet if you want one. If you use a printer or a second monitor, we plan the cable route through a grommet in the desk so nothing trails across the floor. Each location is marked on the electrical sheets.
Comfort through a long day
An office with its door shut through a sunny afternoon can overheat when its single thermostat sits out in the hall. A separate zone, a ductless head or a return air path through a transfer grille keeps it comfortable with the door closed. A window placed to the side of the desk avoids glare on the screen and backlight on camera. For calls, soft surfaces and a rug cut the echo, and the shared walls can take sound insulation. Each choice shows on the plans before framing.

New Construction in Valley Village: questions
We start with a survey, soils data, zoning limits and where utilities connect. We also ask how the house will be used during the day, who works from home and where the internet line enters the property, because that shapes where the office and data closet sit.
Design coordination, survey, soils, engineering and LADBS review sit in an opening agreement. With approved plans, construction is priced in phases from footings to finishes, and low-voltage wiring for the office shows as its own line. You see each phase's figure in writing before its work begins.
That job is ours. Survey and soils come first, the structural engineer follows once the layout is firm, and the energy consultant works from the final plan. You can engage each directly or under our agreement, and their reports reach our office and stay on one schedule.
